Are you wanting to do a platformer or top-down game? Do you want some type of adventure/quest style game? Do you want it to be mainly focused towards multiplayer or single player? Do you want your game to include some type of lore?
In other words, try narrowing down ideas! Here’s a whole guide just about ideas for games!

A top down apocalypse
Maybe a sentry apocalypse? With a hidden sentry boss fight that have a 
for a head

top-down? lets see have a jump course and make the zombies come from both sides
The idea is first to 1,000,000 and have different zombie “bosses” with different effects and health. Have long-ranged and close range.
Maybe make a character lore having a character being trapped in the area
have each “zombie” worth different points.
Maybe have a crafting recipe to get different items
you can credit Cvefy for any of the ideas you use in this text box

ok I made a sorta area/background for either a thumbnail if your going to make one or a area for you game I hope this will give an idea.
I used a barrier for the sky so it looks like dusty wind or “apocalypsy” sky.
