Don’t know, I’ve never tried (I always fall just to the side, never on it. I might have fallen on it once though… If I did, then I respawned anyway.)
The yellow barrier shows the Midpoint of the x-axis of the Map.
other than that, it won’t do anything else specific lol.

ya its there to mark the middle of the map, there could be a yellow barrier at the ceiling of the map. but theres no way to get there

for building the map. they might have forgoten to remove it or it is linked to a device in the game

XD nope you live. you can live as long as you want down there, it has no point as it gains you nothing by standing there unless you are in a competition of hide and seek
hehe if your playing run from the tagger in dld you could just be down there and if they do not know about it you are a winner

Once I fell from the top and landed exactly on top of the barrier and I didn’t touch the laser so I had to climb up and then di.e, AGAIN.
