you can make a top down map and then change the background to something like grass.

for the hostile mobs you can use sentries and then when u beat the last sentry it activates a teleporter that teleports u to a place where you can do more stuff i guess. idk figure smth out.

u can also use crafting tables to make more stuff that u can use in the game.

  1. make a black barrier thats slightly translucent (0.7 opacity) with no collision and then put it over the whole map for a shadowy dark look. ↩︎

also, could you please elaborate on your concept?
i find it very unlikely that gkc could make an working 3d engine with controls to make minecraft without running out of memory
