Needing Game Ideas 🥔

Hey there! It’s JaydoPotato…

I’m needing some game ideas, because it’s been a while since I’ve developed a game on Gimkit. But I’m not sure what to make! That’s where you guys come in.

Here is the idea format I have that I recommend you use:

Name of Game

  • If it is top-down/platformer
  • Genre (story, horror, puzzle, etc.)
  • Story/lore
  • The level of development: Easy, medium, hard
  • Decorations and designs (props, barrier art)

The person with the best idea will be in my credits for the game! Thank you to all who participate.

hmmm… Maybe you can make it like a tour, (you can’t oof) and make scary things appear and disappear if you got too close to it,

use black tinted barriers to make it darker, add soft green lights around. You can also make some figures using black barriers with yellow eyes.

Make characters in-game (only if you have a season ticket, I wouldn’t recommend sentries) and make them drop notes and when you find him/her, and get lore along the way.

And then you realize from the scraps of paper that he was asking for help and you have to escape.

You can choose if you want a sad or a happy ending… ;-;

Edit: (forgot to use formatting lol) top-down or platformer (platformer recommended tho)
horror+puzzle
rest are above

Top Down, Story, You are a merchant trying to find your way into the word, but you start in a dead end job, with only $500 to start. You will need to earn, buy, and sell your way into winning and becoming the richest man in gimkit. development should be pretty easy, and I would recommend a city art using props.

Very nice and interesting :+1:

Will definitely consider this option!
Also like the mechanics… it sounds like it would be fun to make @Ailurophile !

Like this idea too! My favorite part about this one is the coty art. That would be fun to do!

MIND sweeper

Your mind…space themed. But you have to de-mine it.

Decoration could be insane.

OH HOO HOO COOL LIGHTING TIME

Dungeons+bosses
Urm..a factory wants to create something that makes them immortal, but it backfires on many of them and makes them stronger and they now want to control the world
Hard
More labish, with liquids as corrupt potions

platformer
ancient tower kinda like the tomb of nazarick from overlord anime

Story with light horror elements.
LOOOOORRRRRREEEE:
You are a resident of the Emberwall Kingdom during the reign of King Gimrick II, otherwise known as Gimrick The Mad. Since he came to power seven years ago after the suspicious oofing of his father, he has made the kingdom a living heck, imposing strict taxes, forbidding travel and external trade, and forming a secret police of informants known as the Shadeborn, who are rumored to have been summoned through dark magic. One day as you are leaving the local market, you witness a protest against the taxation and suppression, but are arrested alongside the other spectators once the Infernal Guard arrives, with Captain Blazeborn leading a squad of 8 Siraths.

Awakening in a cold and dark chamber, you realize you have been imprisoned in the King’s dungeons to be publicly oofed for plotting against the crown. Taking advantage of the sleepy dungeon master, you pickpocket his key and free yourself, and find a pickaxe once used to carve these cells from their dark stone walls. However, the dungeonmaster awakens, and sounds the alarm, causing a frantic chase through long disused hallways of the lower castle, overgrown with strange vines hostile both to you and the guards pursuing you. After managing to seal a door behind you, you ascend into the kitchens through an old cellar. Attempting to sneak through the halls, you are spotted by the King, prompting a duel between you, as you raise a Wooden Wand stolen from one of the oofed guards to battle this tyrant. (You choose how it ends).
Prologue and initial dungeon escape are effectively just lor with tutorialistic elements mixed in, escape to the overgrown halls is Easy, actually getting out of the halls and cellar is Medium, the kitchen serves as a resting point before the boss fight with Gimrick The Mad, which is Hard.
Starting area uses a lot of market stands with various goods like books and fruits on sale, uses light stone walkways and snowy grass. Dungeon is dark stone walls and purple dungeon floor. Overgrown Halls are still dark stone, but with bits of grass and moss on the floors. Cellar is dark stone walls and cracked oak floor with large barrels and small barrels filled with wine. Kitchen is green castle floor, hallways and boss fight is red castle floor, and both have light stone walls, and red plastic carpets at center.

I already posted here, but that seems like a crazy idea.

Top-Down.

Horror Survival.

A Entity traps Monsters and Survivors for it own delight forcing the survivors to survive against the Monsters(It would be Forsaken but will different Monsters and Survivors).

Medium to possibly Hard since you would have to figure what monster’s and survivor’s to do, how their abilities work, and how it would affect each other.
I mean their probably gonna be multiple maps so Props are gonna be used a good amount and i don’t know about barrier art because that up to you.

Time for an essay not not not written by AI

Name: Confronting Yourself

Mode: Top-down

Genre: Story

Description:
You are in the realm of complexity no other thing could match… your mind.
You travel along a dim path across black plains, with the occasional “tear up” in front of the camera. When you find an entity… they’re only one color, stickman shaped. The color represents the EMOTION.

Red: Hate. The strongest of all EMOTIONS, this one is DETERMINED to keep itself wedged in the back of your head.
Orange: Greed. Also towards the back, trying to steal things but there’s nothing around in the mind to take, other than other emotions. Which reminds me…
Yellow: Ego. Paired up with Greed, which makes sense because ego is always affecting someone socially. Ego, manifested in your mind, likes to steal pride from others, and is very fragile.
Green: Disgust. At the very front of the mind, it tries to ward you off. As the cousin of Ego, they’re always trying to do something socially, but instead of pride, it’s spite. Instead of stealing it, they’re hurting other’s emotions. Probably why Ego and Disgust are on opposite sides.
Blue: Depression. They reside behind Disgust, trying to slow you down with sadness and memories. Each time, the attacks get stronger, the longer you are in those attacks. Better take him down quick.
Indigo: Need. The middle of everyone, it’s the hole that never patches up, because you can certainly never get rid of it, but you can neutralize it. But the hole deepens, the mouth more agape…
Violet: Shame. Behind Depression, it’s more positive, because it understands everything that’s going on and wants it to stop, but it can’t because everything would fall apart, including what makes you. It genuinely cares about you, because:
The world is cruel, and there’s nothing you can do to change that, and only when you believe that, can you be kind. Dawn and dusk are the same nightmares but it stands.

One more guy…

White: Bloom. A seed just waiting to grow, but cannot until the pollution of the land is clear. It befriends Need, as they are identical. But Bloom is more than that. It’s generous, sprouting all the positive EMOTIONS after all the extremely negative ones are gone. It’s the birth of the universe, and it will never stop. You can never stop it, but you can try to slow it down. Slowing it down, however, makes it so hard to beat the game, because since you’re doing that, the negative EMOTIONS have a better grip on you. You must carry the chain until you figure out:

It’s all a part of Life: Which is Black. Only visible after Bloom comes, it’s the objective to the game. When your mind is clear, you can be the best Living person you want and can be.

Level: Medium or Hard, depending on how complex you want each battle to be.

Decorations: Infested props, those spooky green lanterns, and those alien plants. At the end, you see sunrise, because you’re waking up in your house, after a counseling session from last night. Plants go along the path, with the occasional lanterns, and infested props, for the houses of each EMOTION.

Make a game where you have to defend something from something else.

Like a galaxy, from hungry bugs.

Gravity Falls being recreated in Gimkit
(Like the whole thing being made in Gimkit)
(Like the buildings and stuff)

how about a battle royale?

and a murd3r mystery?

this probably isn’t a great idea but a backrooms-esque game or a poolrooms game (An alternate backrooms with pools and white tiling and windows) An anomaly game might work too

why are you guys writing whole essays :sob:
