My map is lagging

So basically my map is a pretty big battle royal with just a LOT of mechanics, and it just lags, a lot, and is at 51 percent memory, and i already deleted everything i can without changing the mechanics, and i already used the memory saving guides, it is still lagging, please give idess on how to make it stop

This should be in bugs, also, could you change the name so it doesn’t look like you know how to do it.

But its not a bug, it is expected that large maps lag… but ill change the title

Lagging is expected with maps above ~40% memory, but even if it’s below that you can still expect some slight lag. What device are you on?

Gimkit was never built for mobile devices, that might be your problem.

I usually use an ipad for gimkit (it just feels awkward to aim on pcs)

well how old is the tablet/ipad

It also lags on other people’s new devices when i tested

You said you removed some things, what percent is the memory at now?

Gimkit only loads devices currently in your screen. Anything outside of the player camera boundaries are offloaded to save CPU usage and memory. Take this Unity editor screenshot for example- anything outside the camera here can be offloaded to save memory. Having too many items in a small space, such as barriers, lags the game.

It doesn’t matter what your total memory is, only how much of it is currently being loaded.

So basically you are saying that i should move devices so they seperate?

well what slim was saying was, how closely compact are your stuff?

I do have like a hundred triggers cramming at one place, that might be the problem

If you have 20 barriers inside the player camera at once, it will lag. If you have 100 barriers spread out across the map with one being loaded at a time, it will not lag.

It’s only a problem if a player loads them inside their camera. But generally, if you have a lot of code running at once it will lag too.

My triggers are not in the visible range, but like 20 of them has block codes so what exactly am i meant to do

are they player triggered? or for something else?

and what exactly were you making before the lag started occuring

Try putting delays on them. What exactly do they do?

They are all triggered by other channels, for building complex abilities

what if you put these near the edge of your map out of your view
and have like a special admin area so you can teleport to certain parts of your code
