My Buttons Are Broken

My buttons do nothing if I add both wires and channels to it, for some reason… When I deleted the buttons’ wires and made the buttons only transmit on channels, they started working again. Does anybody know why this is? Has anybody else experienced this?

So I already fixed the buttons not working, I just wanna know if anybody knows why this is happening or if there’s some unrelated other stuff that’s causing this, so that I can avoid this bug in the future.

So, depending on how you coded the button after connecting the channel/wire, you might have clicked the wrong button and it kinda clogged or got the code glitched to do nothing. Hope this helps. :+1:

can use show pictures?

Thanks, I thought about that too. All I really did with the wires was to send a notification and transmit to a relay though. (I checked the wire code). I did the same thing again with a new button, checked the coding of the wires (it was the right coding) and it still didn’t work. Then I just deleted the wires, and it worked.

So, it is possible that the channel was getting blocked by the wire, so when it got deleted the channel went through?

There’s not really much to show with pictures, because it’s just the buttons not doing anything when it has wires, and it doing stuff when it does have wires.

Actually, I can’t believe I forgor to reattach a wire to see if that’s really the source of the problem :man_facepalming: I’ll go test that out.

Idk, maybe… that is a good idea, and if that’s the case, I wonder why that’s happening, because the buttons have never malfunctioned like this before.

Really?! Huh… maybe some update to Gimkit creative broke them or something…

What the heck. I reattached some wires to the buttons and they work again! I did the same thing as before too… Maybe it’s because this time I made the channels first, then did the wiring. Huh, weird. I wonder why this is happening though…

Maybe you using both wires and channels is confusing it, just making it cancel out

I don’t think so, because

Edit: oof, I was just told to get off my computer. Should I just mark a solution and just let it go, or let this topic keep going?

Maybe mark a solution, but it’s up to you!

If you didn’t put in the correct settings for the wire, it won’t work.

I checked the wire code and it was good

Alright. “Wire Code” confused me lol.
I know you said pictures wouldn’t help, but could we see what you have? It would be helpful, even if there’s nothing.
