MORE questions on my spleef map

I figured out how to do pretty much anything, like flinging players, doing a lot of damage, no cooldown and more, but one question. What do I use to give the item? An item granter? Starting Inventory? Like I don’t know, so if anyone knows how, please help and tell, me how to!

Well it depends.

What gadget are you using?

If you are letting them pick and choose, combine pop ups with an item granter.

But if everyone uses the same gadget, I would use a starting inventory.

well
if you have a lobby (not pregame lobby) and you need to wait for players to select maps, you should use item granters

but if the game immediately starts into sleef, use starting inventory

Give an item at what time? A starting item inventory gives an item to all players at the beginning of the game whereas an item granter grants items to individual players at a specific time.

I am using Quantam Portal, and I want them to start with it because I want it to go straight into spleef.

Then use a starting item inventory. Everyone will get the item on game start.

Yes, but I can’t wire that to damage multiplier and such. Also, starting multiplier also cant use channels.

well you can use a lifecycle and when game starts it activates ur damage multiplier

When do you need it activated? If you want it at the start of the game, use a lifecycle with the event set to game start, a relay for all players, and a damage multiplier that gives all players a damage boost.

I mean, if you really wanna be super tedious, you could just base the system with a lifecycle as its life support, kinda. Have the item be granted on game start, as well as the booster. Something like this:

One more question. Is there a way to make the cooldown shorter and if not no cooldown, because quantum portal does a lot of damage but has really slow cooldown.

Not neccasarlly. I have played a spleef map where a gadget had no cooldown. Also maybe wire repeater with some other stuff would possibly work??

What gadget was it without the cooldown?

instead of using quantum portal you could use a different gadge that’s a bit faster

Click the gear in the bottom left corner. Then click map options and then items. Change “Refill Duration” to “Instant”.
