Memory Efficient Trigger Keyboard šŸ¤Æ (Only takes 1% memory)

Erā€¦ Sorry to be pedantic, but wouldnā€™t the target value for GHI be 12, not 13? I mean, 8+4=12, not 13, soā€¦

yes, I didnā€™t catch that the day I made this as I was way to tired to even look for mistakes.

so uh I just found out this system only takes up 1% memory, I just had other things in the map I was testing in besides the system, so wow!

only 1% wow

thatā€™s a lot for 1% lol

Can u add a pic of the final product

someone pls explain. my brain currently is not brainning, and English is not my first language.

also can someone summarize this for me. what I can basically understand is that he is trying to make a keyboard like on the old phones, like the ones where 1 = abc, and u have to click 1 3 times for c, 2 times for b, and once for 1
now I have another way of doing this, so um fleet can I make another guide on how a similar method could be achieved?

basically the channel that a trigger brodcasts on, would be what channel the counter increments when it recieves each trigger has a counter acsociated to it so whatever the trigger that corresponds with the counter, the channel that trigger uses will be the one the counter uses.

So, just to be clear, is this similar to the text entry system, but with three letters encoded per trigger rather than one?

If so, it would be more than possible to simply put all letters in a single trigger, and thus have less than 1% memory for near infinite characters, yes? Memory efficiency feels a little arbitrary in that case.

yes but using the system for picking letters that this guide uses for one trigger with all letters would make it so you wouldnā€™t be able to pick some letters in time. which is why this guide uses 9 triggers for 3 letters per trigger. with one more trigger doing the text input itself.

honestly I have no idea how I didnā€™t think of this.
THIS IS GENIUS!

Itā€™s case-specific. There is no ā€œin time,ā€ itā€™s just a question of efficiency vs memory usage.

I donā€™t know if there is a difference between those 2. if there is thatā€™s my bad, I was unaware.
I was mentioning the time, as it takes 2 seconds before it decides to combine the letter.

Honkus Ponkus I now cast Bump this topic!
