Lore needed for my characters

Work is going a bit slow as, who knew, 3 AP level classes is a lot of homework, here is the revised background for Nino though:

As a child, Nino Sage was enamored with nature, hiking out into the vast woods near her home, skipping stones off the lakes in the morning fog, and watching wildlife from handmade nooks of discarded branches as camouflage. Despite this, her parents Asher and Lana disapproved, desiring their daughter to follow in their footsteps with a military career, defensibly so considering how war had scarred their upbringings. As such, they began forcing Nino into a series of drills and fights so as to train her to survive should conflict come to the family’s doorstep once more. However, Nino began to resent her parents for keeping her in the compound, visited only by similarly militant friends of parents as instructors for specialized training, and forbidden from going outdoors, she began to emotionally withdraw, thinking of her own self preservation and goals over everything else. This prompted her to flee the house at the age of 17, using the survival skills that she had been forced to hone to disappear into the wilderness, far from Asher and Luna’s reach. This social isolation, self preservation, and love of nature became the defining characteristics of her life, leading her to take a remote post at a nature reserve with few people for company, surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness, and far from her parents. Years later, the parents heard rumor of Nino’s presence through Yamui, who had seen Nino in town on a rare excursion for supplies. Asher and Luna promptly contacted Matthias, who was stationed nearby, and the couple took shelter in the home of Yamui and Fleio, taking shifts to patrol the surrounding area in search of their missing daughter. One night in mid October, they happened across a pair of figures, one of which was helping the other beneath a fence to the nature preserve. Their old military instincts kicking in, they charged the trespassers, ordering them to halt and be taken in for a citizen’s arrest. The figures of course fled, with Asher chasing the smaller of them while Lana pursued the other towards the mountains. As Asher closed in on the figure, it darted through a thin passage in the undergrowth that he was unable to pass through. The figure paused for a moment, and turned to look at their pursuer, tensing with apparent shock before fleeing further into the woods even quicker and more desperately than before, appearance shrouded by darkness. Asher would look back upon the chase in confusion, unsure of what his quarry’s actions meant. In the meantime, Lana quickly lost her target in the mountain passes of the northwest tundra. Tired, the two returned to Yamui’s home and fell into a deep slumber. Their attention now turned to the preserve, they began scouting the region despite the amount of snowfall seeming to double with each passing day. This routine continued for weeks into the winter, a tireless pursuit that yielded nothing, though they did notice an unnerving lack of wildlife, even by winter’s standards. Their energy gradually faded, and they began questioning whether Yamui had even seen Nino at all, or just mistaken them for someone else. While the identity of their quarry was in question, it had no such doubts about who pursued it. When Nino turned to see who had chased him that night, she had expected to see an overzealous ranger trying to get a bonus, but instead saw the manifestation of all their childhood trauma, all the scars that weaved across her back, staring at her from within reach. This encounter would create such a level of heightened paranoia about her external circumstances that she would ignore the ever mounting warning signs about The Hunter’s activities, until the events of my previous essay on this character.
