In reality, Shifty seeks to destr0y the Court entirely, as the creatures of the Underworld have grown jealous of the luxury the Court lives in in the heavens.

While aware of the growing threat of the Underworld, he still holds out hope for a peaceful resolution, which is viewed as weakeness by the master of Shifty The Shadeborn.
