Limit sentry firing range

how to make it so that sentry can’t fire gadget at player if the player isn’t in the zone. so like limit the sentry’s range

You can change the range by clicking the “change size” button. Just like a prop.
It doesn’t always work tho.

Click on the sentry. There’s a ‘Change Size’ button in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Click on it. The blue circle that surrounds the sentry now represents the sentry’s range. Drag it to reduce the range.

i mean its still firing after i changed sze

yes, it still fires, but it is harder to have it see you

Make a zone with gadget fire off and activate/deactivate it when a player is in a certain area

The range you changed is the range at which they’ll start firing at you. If you want to limit the range at which their gadgets fire, you should use gadgets that have low range. Some gadgets with low range include: Zappers, Stonebursters, and Timekeepers

i mean like i have a zone where a player moves slowly i only want the sentrys to fire at the zone. so like if im outside the zone they shouldn’t fire. but without activating/deactivating since i can’t find any scope for player

then this is probably impossible

Since sentries can’t fire thru barriers, you can surround the sentry with a barrier, limiting its range to where the barriers aren’t. Combine this with the thing that limits range via changing size, and you can limit the sentries to specifically that zone.
