You could take inspiration from the game grounded and take inspiration from subnautica but ants version.

Maybe so, but I’m back now! Anyways, more on the worker ant thing I suggested earlier, maybe (if its added) the queen has a hunger bar and if it gets to zero you get some kind of nerf, like your trees stop growing for 10 seconds, and as a worker ant you have to bring her food to keep her happy.
or maybe you cant have anymore worker ants until you feed her. I’ll make her have a lot of nerfs if the hunger bar reaches0 (like Minecraft). here’s a list of nerfs 
- moves at 0.3 speed
- cant have worker ants
- tree growth slow down
- if not fed in 30 seconds, game over
- the screens gonna flash red like in among us [1]
- worker ants cant do anything except get her food
- everybody loses 1.00 speed
- everybody drops to 1 health
maybe there can be an imp in the game… ↩︎

I’m still working on on the leaf system. the only thing I can think of is using a sentry as a leaf since its the only thing that can respawn

yeah make sure to add a small barrier so the players can hit the sentry but still collect the item and the sentry’s gadget to be disabled
you are a ant born from your queen you already know what to do so you get to work but there are traps and dangers like feet but you can fight back but in order to that you must be a fire ant.
Some secret lore
you have to find 7 green key cards to unlock a door then you see a gold ant he turns around asks you why you are here you only have two choices just exploring or oh I did not mean to go here but then the golden ant turns big then squash’s you but before you get squashed you see a note kinda… saying we are-
You build an ant colony
You get a wife
You get a job
You rent an apartment
You then have 2 kids
You work so hard you get promoted in your job (growing trees)
You start a colony of scientists (ants)
You start a ranch company because for some reason you love ranch
You then pass all your assets and thrown of the colony to your son who’s a scientist who figured out how to make ants humans
You become reborn as a human baby with no memory of what happened and no existing evidence of the life you had as an ant
A foster family takes you in
You grow up
You go to school
You get good grades
You get accepted into a nice school
You become a doctor
You get a wife
You get kids
You move into a house
You finally get your dream car (Lambo)
Your kids grow up and leave you to the edge of the world because the found good opportunities
Your wife passed away
You go and try to sway away your sad feelings at a park
You go to the tree where it all began
You go home
You fall on the ground
You get rushed to the hospital
You get diagnosed with a terrible dіsease and lonely, on your dеath bed, you remember, you remember your past life and every part of logic that stood firm in your brain is erased but your eyes they decided to close in and close in and close in and close in…

How about the ant just realizes it’s actually in a vr and takes the headset off and discovers that it is an 11 year old kid on a Saturday?
