I need help making a system in which there can be random cases that you get and when a specific action happens either increase your also chance of winning the case or decreases it
So basically I’m asking if there is a way to exclude options from a randomizer and then how to increase chances of winning based off of the experience level (increases by 2 every 1 minute, 100 is the max, it also indicates which case difficulty you get), also I know how to make this but the way I would do it would be very time and memory consuming and inefficient, so try to make what I’m thinking better.
Let’s say a lawyer is dealing with a 50 point case (meaning your experience level has to be 50, his is ), and his chances of winning are going to be _%, like 8/10 in randomizer code, and then I went ahead and investigated the case a bit more so that chances would increase.
This will probably take
properties
block code, more specifically property value checker and incrementors, and randomizers
Idea part
I need ideas for cases so…
Case:
Case description:
Experience required: (Be reasonable, for example, scammed for $100 is 30 experience points, 100 is max)
Extra actions: (What else can you do to increase your chances of winning)
Reward: (Most will be $1000 for 100 experience points, but experience points can be rewards too)
Idea:
Case: The suing of Gimkit
Case Description: Gimkit is about to be sued! A guy who played it got excessive mental trauma from One Way Out. Your job is to defend Gimkit.
Experience Required: 99, it is really hard to do.
Extra Actions: Listen to a Philosopher’s speech, it will help you bargain. Question the guy. Play One Way Out.
Reward: $999, and 11 experience points
I hope you like this, @Ghassan!
You are prosecuting Shady The Shadeborn on behalf of The Broker.
Shady has been selling what he claims are souls in the Broker’s market. Recently, the legality of Shady’s business has been questioned due to his vague replies concerning the origins of said souls. Your objective is to find a way to ban him from selling souls in the Broker’s market, however as you have no evidence as to him oofing people, you have to use policy technicalities to kick him out.
Extra Actions: Attend a philosophy seminar, player must wait as along and dull speech on the existence of souls is spoken over the course of 5-10 irl minutes, if player completes a review questions set successfully on the seminar, they are shown an option to ban Shady in court.
So for the chance of winning I can do 5 set randomisers which are specifically activated each if Experience points (property) is lower than the given number (Like if the case required 50 points, and the set default chance of winning is 80, and your current points are 40, the percent chance of winning goes down by 10% to 70% chance of winning.
yes, it’s an old nintendo video game… if you’ve seen those memes where it’s like the pixel art anime looking guys saying “OBJECTION”, that’s what that is.
Yep we’re doing this thing. Nokotan, please forgive me.
Case: Hino Zoo sues Nokotan
Case description: The Hino Zoo sues Noko Shikanoko because in Ep. 5 of the anime she bit a person feeding her deer crackers. YOU need to defend Nokotan, because a wise deer once said, “Why do deer eat deer crackers? Because there are deer crackers before me!”
Experience required: 40
Extra actions: Giving everyone deer crackers show them that they’re really good (they’re actually awful but this show is weird) and they realize that it makes sense that Nokotan was so quick to eat it.
Dösney vs Copyright Infringement Island
Case Description: The Wölt Dösney Company has sued a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean for copyright infringement because the rock formations on it look a little too much like their mascot, Mortimer Mouse. You need to defend the island, dubbed Copyright Infringement Island, from the Dösney Corporation’s lawyers (they’re really good btw). You must come up with reasonable arguments to defend the island because it cannot speak and defend itself because, well, IT’S A LANDMASS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PACIFIC.
Experience needed: 70
Extra actions: You must prove to the judge that the island cannot think for itself and choose its rock formation by explaining how islands are formed.
Reward: $2,000 because Dösney is loaded.
The Customers of Soubway vs Soubway
Case Description: The Soubway Sandwich Corporation has been sued by the customers of Soubway for lying about what their ‘tuna’ actually is. Many customers claimed it has tasted like chicken to platypus meat. This has led to a mass lawsuit. Your goal is to prove that Soubway has been lying about its so-called tuna this entire time. (Spoiler alert: The ‘tuna’ is a mix of old jack-o-lantern and walrus blubber.)
Experience needed: 30
Extra actions: Do a full-blown DNA test on the unidentified meat substance in the middle of the courthouse.
Reward: $650
