I’m trying to publish my map but it won’t let me upload an image therefore not letting me publish which is really stressing me out
Check the image again, is it a PNG?
Also check the requirements for the upload photo.
Even if you upload an image, it still outlines it in red. If you press publish anyway it should work. It’s been bugged like that from the first day publishing released.
Oh yeah make sure it’s the correct file type too.

It has to be a jpeg/jpg and fit inside a certain resolution limit. Try shrinking the image or converting using this website:
Fun fact, you can still upload jpeg/jpg images
