Is there any possible way to be able to damage a sentry and it not be able to damage you?

Yea sooo I just want sentrys to be in the way, and you have to get them but they can’t damage you. any help please…?

Ah, I’ve heard that if you give the sentry a pickaxe and have it break a block on game start it will break the durability of the pickaxe and leave the sentry with no gadget.
