So, I’m working on my latest game, “liminal gimkit,” and in the liminal spaces I’m recreating in gimkit need lighting as a very important part to add a layer of disturbance for the player. (Liminal spaces are supposed to be dark/scary) know how to do that? Like, how to add point-lights and adjust the time of day? (I’m a roblox developer and you can do that in rbxl studio)
so u cant really change the lighting in the game but… u can add semi-transparent barriers with the collision turned off and different colors for a more “liminal” tone
Barrier with shades of light through that. You’ll need to use channels/wires to change the time of day through activating & deactivating barriers.
(similar to monka)
Oh fah Ian thanks! (Post teared up into shreds by author)
You can’t create lighting but you can create the illusion of lighting, I only did this example with a basic light but you can adapt this for natural lighting (aka, sunlight).
Basically, its a bunch of barriers that make it look lit up.
Edit - @Aero_is_da_best_gim I just now noticed that, I was wondering why a lighting guide used lasers.
He said LIGHTING not lightning lol
banner art works good
Believe it or not, I’m making a full tug about this, so if you want I can ping you when it’s done
@Penguinmediamegacrop you can turn off barrier collision by tapping/clicking on the barrier, scrolling down through the settings (go to All Options) and at the bottom underneath Collision Enabled, open the drop-down and select No.
do you know how to turn off barrier collision?
