don’t think this is allowed
4pm block out time is there for a reason, to prevent kids from playing GKC during school hours, and everything as soon as the new gamemode is WAY too high of expectations, game development takes a LONG while, trust me, even I sometimes take MONTHS to finish my games, also the gimbucks publishing, its so you actually have to learn before you publish your map. although I aggre with the 4pm block out a bit, I only wish you could change it for half days or for your time zone.
- Adding new features immediately will increase the already on-edge wait time.
- The block time is a response to the schools blocking Gimkit completely.
- They announced free platforming in the next update.
this might be a bit off topic
I mean It has to do with gkc so i would guess it isnt off topic??
then the kids playing Gimkit would just set it to half days everyday
Yes! I have a half day once a month and the issue is it’s not accessible… also, on U.S. Holidays GKC should definitely be available.
I think this is a bit off topic since you’re complaining about things about gkc instead of talking about help in stuff for gkc map making or whatever
Fleet and NoLife and the answers to your complaints and mark a solution please so this can close and no clutter can appear
I dunno the best course of action for ya, buddy
Welcome back, @trandom82 ! And I could see this topic both ways.
Here are the reasons for those limits:
- Money for season ticket is bc of the cost to run servers.
- 4pm is bc the School day, and it doesn’t want kids goofing off and playing in class.
- Paying money for publish makes the players work for the game by playing gimkit itself.
It’s not likely they will respond, but you can email hello@gimkit.com
But, I can for sure argue with the price. Make it 500, maybe even 300!
Hopeful this was helpful
Welcome back!
Team Gimkit works extremely hard, please give them time to make these updates. The staff is super nice, I’ve emailed them a bunch before!
If you want to contact them directly, email hello@gimkit.com, and I’m sure they will give you some answers! Expect an email back within a business week. They don’t work on weekends.
Most of the features they add are so students don’t abuse the website. They blocked discovery during school hours because students were using it during class, and schools were blocking Gimkit altogether.
Anyway, yeah, the team is super nice, shoot them an email if you have questions or concerns.
@Slim is right. If you have a question, you should email hello@gimkit.com. They are so nice and i’m sure they will respond
