Probably add lots of puzzles and traps, it fits to the theme, for story maybe something like pharaoh is reviving

A room that has walls that slowly close and you have to get your way through it. Mummies, crocodile’s, and jackals chasing you.

You know how in Egyptian culture the heart is the key to the afterlife? What if you have been mummified (you’re a ghost throughout the entire game) but when you come to the guardian of the Underworld to have your heart judged, you can’t find your heart. So you have to go back into the world and go through the pyramid tombs to find it. Set (or Seth) has been taking over gods bodies and forcing them to steal hearts so no one will get into the underworld. Your heart has been split in four and is being guarded by 4 possessed gods. The gods are Bastet, Sekhmet, Isis, and Ptah.

I thought of a list of desert themed traps real quick,1. Quicksand, when the player steps on it, they have to click quickly or they take damage2. Coffins, when the player goes to an area, some sentries spawn suddenly and attack.3. Collapse, maybe in escape storylines the player has to escape quickly while rocks fall in areas and do damage. I might come up with something new later

To fit with Grapefuitt’s lore, the judger of hearts is a dog controlled by Osiris.(The ruler of the underworld.)

maybe a overly curious guy on the exploration team that goes ahead of everyone else and gets booby trapped into a hole to DEATH

I mean, Egyptians are all about death, just take the movies for example
(Ex: The mummy trilogy)
