Ideas for bossfights in my rpg

basically I’m making a turn based rpg called Gim Fantasy that’s a clone of the early final fantasy games (1-7), and the only battles are boss fights (memory issues )
What are some ideas for bossfights?
don’t worry if your idea isn’t in this game, it may be in the second part! (this will have to be a 2 act project for story)
And I don’t want them all to be Gims, but they need to be manageable without taking 50 barriers or props or something outrageeous

some DND creatures would be cool. try using a kruthik. It’s like a big ant/lizard that spits poison and an crawl up walls. oh, and it has armor like chitin.
Kruthik - 5etools
looks like a puppy!

A boss fight near the end of the game,

Name - Josh

Health - 30,000 (Based off of FFVII, I haven’t played FFVI before)

Attacks,

Cry - Make a random player stunned for 2 turns and deals 300 damage to all players.

Flail - Deals 100 damage to all players and makes Josh gain 150 health

Details - Josh is a baby in a crib, They’re only 2 years old but they are the child of one of the main villains and were trained since birth to be a lethal weapon. The player that kills Josh will gain a lot of money (like about 3,000 currency) but has to live with the guilt of killing a baby for the rest of the game and gets some sort of debuff.

Edit - I didn’t mean for it to be a superboss, maybe like a hard boss near the end of the game but its not the hardest boss they’ve faced so far. But its meant to weaken the players and make the final boss stronger.

Idk if Final Fantasy 6 is different but in Final Fantasy 7 the average player health is about 800 so I went off of that.

You should add a basic red circle (Barrier) with two black eyes (Rectangle barriers) and just give it an evil eye, then add trees or something that the boss can break. You just dodge and attack. It would be a good first boss.

Is the Josh gim in creative? If it is, this would be great.

There’s this one concept I had, where a boss can summon a barrier in front of it for some time, blocking any damage exchanges. Maybe you can incorporate that into this game? Will make boss concepts later  (it’s late lol)

Never played the game before so I apologize in advance if this is all wrong.

Revelos The All-Seeing

Health - 66,000

Attacks:

Reveal - Fires a series of lasers (horizontal first, vertical second, diagonal right then left last). Lasers deal 100 damage each.

Tentacles - Tentacles emerge from ground. If a player is hit, they deal 300 damage and stun for the next 3 turns.

Final Strike - Slams down a massive tentacle that deals 900 damage (or leaves the player at 100 health) and stuns for 5 turns.

Delia, The Winter Destroyer

** Phase 1 Health** - 123,900

Phase 1 Attacks:

Blizzard - Sends a tornado that tracks the player and does DOT (Damage Over Time) to the player.

Winter Wreckage - Makes the player one-shot and gives Delia more health. (Her health goes from 123,900 to 156,323)

Shout - Does 10% damage to the player + Frost damage. (1,110 Damage + Frost Damage = 2,900 Damage)

Frost Walk - Instantly K.O’s the player.

Phase 2 Health - 298,890

Phase 2 Attacks:

Inflamed Snow - Turns Snow to Fire and tracks the player.

Inflamed Rage of Snow - Does Fire and Frost damage + Damage Over Time. 80,000 Damage to the player basically.

Catchphrase: You’re now in my Snow-filled Domain, now!

What you get when She’s K.O’d: The Alpine Frost Long-sword.

Really hope ya’ll like it.

building onto this, you could have periods in the rye font at max size for eyes

@Reaper_leviathan also has a good idea, you could fight TIAMAT[1] or a BEHOLDER[2]

the second one would be harder though

says the dungeon master… [3]

Glitch Slime, Low Hp/High Defense: a slow moving enemy, aka (lag). It buffs its own armor every 3 turns, forcing you to use breaker abilities or items to remove it.

The Timer Construct (not green lantern) Fast, glass cannon: A boss that attacks a lot, but has very low health, it shows the “time” aspect of Gimkit, so you got to heal quickly.

The Item Hoarder: A boss that steals your Powerup every few turns, you must defeat it before they run out of resources to heal.

The Double Down Reaper: A boss that forces a “double points” thing, making its damage and player damage both double for 3 turns.

The Invisible Gimmick (status boss): An enemy that is like at 0.1 transparent, so you have to use abilities like scan, or reveal, something like that. It relies on confusion/blinding the boss, instead of just damaging it.

The Final Answer (Memory Skill): A boss that is 3x speed, and 200hp, you have to be really quick to eliminate this boss.
