I need world ideas. I tried looking up some ideas with the forums search engine, and came up empty handed. I’m trying to make a sort of Alice in Wonderland inspired game. My character wakes up, falls into a hole, and then is transported into unique different worlds and tries to make it back home. So far I have the following world ideas:A candy land inspired world, a nature inspired world, and a RAINBOW inspired world. Any ideas? (please note that I’m not looking for worlds like a desert or a regular old forest, something somewhat unique like Alice in Wonderland worlds)
I don’t really have any useful info to answer this question, but maybe psychological horror area in the most difficult segment of the game at that time (like a difficulty spike)? (block tales demo 3 ahhhh chapter )
Another idea: Monochrome world that has super easy enemies and then pulls up very difficult enemies near the end and at the very last moment, when you’re about to leave the chapter, it pulls out the most vibrant, glaggleland-esque, oversaturated, near BRAINROT - tier enemy (without any actual brainrot material, of course), and it’s a surprise because you were expecting a dull encounter with a difficult enemy. Of course, the enemy’s still hard.
No, people are just at Thanksgiving lol.
Here are some:
An underwater world where you have to save the glowing turtles from extinction
A Mario world with you know, pipes…
A castle world where you’re trapped in the top of a tower but it’s actually an escape room
A castle world where you fight dragons, but PLOT twist the dragons are good and you have to deal with the trauma of being evil
A world where you’re a turkey trying not to get eaten haha
A world where everything is big but you think you’re just small, or vice versa
A world where you’ve been hacked and you get sucked into a computer to quest for your password back or something, kind of like that animated internet video game movie
Literally any good idea, so mostly ones that aren’t on this list haha.
I already edited a comment with this idea, but here’s another idea:
Monochrome world that has super easy, dull, boring enemies and then pulls up very difficult enemies near the end that are still boring and dull and at the very last moment, when you’re about to leave the chapter, it pulls out the most vibrant, glaggleland-esque, oversaturated, near BRAINROT - tier enemy (without any actual brainrot material, of course), and it’s a surprise because you were expecting a dull encounter with a difficult enemy. Of course, the enemy’s still hard.
What? Who wouldn’t want to spend their Thanksgiving on the forums?
1-Finally some justice for the glowing turtles (I’ll take it!)
2-Hmm Mario themed maps seem a bit over done in my opinion
3-Ooo a castle inspired world (I’ll take it!)
4-Turkeys? No comment
5-Maybe I’ll do the big and small thing (but it is a bit of a cliche)
6-Im going for a world before/with no technology
Thanks @GlowingTurtle! I appreciate it
I feel bad for turning down your ideas . I’m going for a conflict free type of game (so no sentries, the only way you could get harmed is from something like fall damage).
Hmmm well I guess that’s “all” (I’m sure I can think of some more ideas on my own) the ideas I need! I will be taking the underwater idea, castle idea, small vs large idea, and possibly the upside down idea. Thanks to everyone who submitted an idea!
I came up with a decent idea
So basically, maybe the underwater area could kind of be separated from the idea, but it still occurs underwater.
So you know that meme? you know,
I have a world idea based on that.
So after you save the turtles, you try to go to recover an earth relic from a really long time ago to help you go back home, and the path to the relic is almost straightforward. You see, there’s a large island that’s small enough to go through via walking, but you traveled back in time to the point that the sun will still send you up into the stratosphere (heaven), so you have to make a route around the island to get to the relic, which is underwater because you can’t pick it up if it’s on land, because
the sun is a deadly lazer.
(the meme came from the video “History of the entire world, i guess” from this YouTuber called bill wurtz)
I have never seen that meme before in my life, BUT GO ON :>
Wow that’s actually a really good idea! I might modify it a bit (so my smoll brain can comprehend). Thanks for the submission (I will be sure to use it)!
