I need LOTS Of help building my FNAF game

Today I decided that I should make a FNAF game. But I realized, I didn’t know how to build
The Lobby
The Office
The Animatronics
The Map
The Door thingy
The Cameras
The Clock thingy (aka what you see at 6am)
The Time
The Buttons
The Phone Guy
The Jumpscares
The Power Thing
And the Sound Effects (Ex: Foxy knocking on the door)

The office: use office props
Sound effects: the only way is to use sentries that sh0ot a projectile when u want them to
Plus I’ve never played or watched FNAF lol

Try checking this resource collection out:

Some pictures are missing in the provided guides, but I’m sure some of the (smarter-than-me) other forumers can help you out with anything important. :]

Oh, and make sure to note that a direct copy of FNAF can’t be posted on Discovery due to copyright reasons. If you make some sore of knockoff/parody, like “Five Nights at Gimkit” or something, I’m pretty sure it can be published.

for the door thingy just do a button to turn the barrier on or off. I’m not sure how to do the map cause that is kinda difficult cause in the game its like a tablet thingy, maybe you could just teleport to a different area and it shows you a layout of the map and dif sentry’s tha tmove to a dif spot when the actual sentries are detected in that spot. for the clock thing maybe you could just do dif text that shows every 90 seconds. I’m not sure how to do sound effects cause I don’t know how lol, but maybe you can put a pop up saying “You heard metal scraping the linoleum floor, must be the animatronics.”

Oke Here is load of ideas

Warning: LOTS AND LOTS of yapping

The Office
Unless you are planning use lots of barriers and mechanisms, the best possible way is to create a small room with the phone, doors, and everything for a FNAF lobby.

The Animatronics

  • You can use an algorithm and luck based mechanism to make sentries spawn at the door without using players. [1]
  • Another way is by using players, so 4 players are the animitronics and one player to become the security guard. [2]

Doors

  • With the help of sentries and gadgets, you could make a door that if the player tries to click on the “Door/Light” button, they knock-out the sentry which would trigger an effect [3]
  • As many people mentioned, you can use barriers and buttons to open and close the doors and turn the lights on and off

Cameras
You make a small computer that has a button and use it to wire/channel it to a camera point to your desired location. From there, you can activate some Game Overlays so the player can click the options to “Go to Next Cam” “Previous Cam” “Exit Cam.” The first two options would allow the player to switch through the cams, and the “Exit Cam” would allow the player to stop looking at cams

Time

  • You may use the counter timer and have 5/6 to show that there are 5/6 days and have them count down. The next time will start after each day is over
  • You could use a Game Overlay that is set to text, which will show the timer to the player

Clock - Important
Idk since I do not play FNAF, please elaborate

Buttons - Important
Idk since I do not play FNAF, please elaborate

Phone Guy
You could set a special timer that displays a popup or notification that appears after a set amount of time. Then the player could respond using overlays or a Pop-Up

Jump Scares - Refer from Animtronics

  • You can detect the player from which Animtronic they oofed from and have a special camera view that varies from each Animtronic. Basically jump scare art
  • For the player version, if the player oofs, it sends them to another place containing the barrier art jumpscare.

Power
Honestly. I don’t even know how to do this. Sorry!

Sound Effects
This is not possibe, unless you have a special secret room near the player, and spawns sentries to use it’s gadget fire sounds to create sound effects.
Unless you want to do that :up_arrow: there is no possible way right now

  1. However, this might take immense coding and a lot of work to do ↩︎

  2. This is way more simple, but it does make the game require multiple players ↩︎

  3. Would take lots of block code, but would make the game better ↩︎
