So I’m making a piano game and I’m about to publish it, but then I realized I need to add some more things to make it more interesting. Some ideas I thought about are the ability to choose the background, or having the leader board set on how many notes played. Anyways I just need more ideas like that.
And since this game isn’t very common I don’t think guides about making your game “better” work.
Yeah, I won’t link any guides.
Add a minigame or two, because people might get bored of piano-ing and then definitely add your customization ideas, those are great.
So background color, maybe an ambience feature (I added that to a javascript thing I made but it could probably be recreated… kind of), definitely a leaderboard…
Can you play songs on it? Maybe add sheet music for that that people can pick from and then you could- if you really wanted to- figure out a way to score them on how well they played it.
Maybe you can change the look and sound of the piano? You know, color, and then make it sound like different instruments?
How about different backdrops, so you can play in different barrier-art locations around the world? That’d be neat. Maybe those can change based on the kind of music the player is playing.
And now I have no creativity left in my brain.
Here’s a handy list:
Minigames (music related)
Background color
Different backdrops
Different songs
Scoring system
Leaderboard
Piano color and style
Piano sound
A way of learning songs
Duet (players can play with each other)
Players can perform in a concert and it’s like a showcase, so players are in the audience and then are performing
Players are selected to rehearse and perform, and others are selected to judge
Players play and then rate other player’s performances
Thanks! I was planning on coming back eventually… I’m almost done with my project.
