FYI, a softlock is a place where you get stuck and can’t move (for example, there is a space (\ /) that is the perfect space and place for you to get stuck in the jump animation).

When you’re in a trap, you physically cannot get out of it. 2 slopes together make a softlock. position them like (you can’t see the backslash 
)/, and you can’t get out.

You might need to provide more information, there are a lot of ways to get softlocked – falling between two perfectly positioned objects and getting stuck in the fall animation, being trapped is a closed room with a checkpoint, etc.
