I had a really funny idea, but I wonder if anyone else has an idea on how to do it

Is there anyway to make a Rubix cube in GKC?
if so how?

IDK maybe ask Gimkit or something?

I don’t think you can, how would you make the 6 sides of a cube on a 2d game?

I think you could like have 6 different squares or use a 3d text renderer but it would be complex.

It would be hard given how rubic cubes are 3d.

maybe it’s possible to do a 3x3 grid, but not 3d. I have an idea like there is 1 you have to switch in like block blast

But how would the position of the sqaures change?

9 properties, it would be very difficult if you don’t know how to do it. You would record what color they are on each square if it isn’t 3D

Each space will have a square of each color and they would change based on what you did.

I’ve wanted to try this for a while, I even started building it but I was too intimidated to continue lol

What I tried was stack colored barriers on top of each other with unique channels to show them. It would have a text property that would be able to hold all of the info of the cube using text numbers. There would be buttons to show each face and buttons to rotate rows and columns. Every time you rotate the cube, there would be a trigger that would read the property, and figure out which numbers to move, and where to move them depending on the button that was pressed, then it would read the part of the string that belongs to the current face showing. The difficult part is moving the characters of the property (a 1 dimensional string) and projecting it as 3D. You could have a property for each square; that might make it easier. Definitely possible, but extremely difficult. Have fun with this!

dude, why did you do @ here, and this is my help topic dude. I don’t need you making one for me. I don’t appreciate the fact that instead of trying to help, you do a poll asking IF you should make a topic to help. a help topic is made to ask for help, not for people to vote on if someone should help. I was already planning on making a guide if I went through with this.

Fulcrum’s idea is a good place to start, i think u should use triggers for moves and use cube notation, which is: U, U’, R, R’, L, L’, D, D’, F, F’, x, x’, y, y’, z, z’ and maybe group the for less clutter:
R
L
U
F
D
xyz
(yes i am a cuber)
And as Blackhole[1] said, Nothing is impossible.
btw look up cube notation if u dont know what it is.
