there are too many topics on this so here are some ways to name your GKC map.
Tips:
- What hooks players into clicking your map?
- What makes this different from other maps?
- What audience is your map for?
- Would you click on the game if it had the title?
- Make sure it’s kid friendly!
Ways:
Number 1 - Research maps that are trending and/or in community picks as well as games from outside Gimkit like Roblox or hypixel. Maybe even do research via YouTube titles for famous videos and apply some sort of detail from YouTube videos to you map title.
Number 2 - If you’re recreating a game, put a spin on the name but still make it recognizable or flat out say the name. Ex. Original game name is Super Smash Bros Ultimate, your game name is Super Gim Bros Ultimate.
Number 3 - Feel free to use AI or name generators to choose a name! No one will hate on you for it (or they shouldn’t anyway).
Number 4 - If you’re game is a sequel to another map you made, don’t just add 2 next to the original title, but add a new name! Ex. Original is “The Chase”, sequel is “The Chase: Heist”. Although, nothing is wrong with adding a 2!
Number 5 - Name your map based on a theme. If you’re game is based off of a theme, use words that relate to it so that other people know what the game is about. Ex. Theme is space, Name is “Celestial Warping”.
Summary: Use your creative juices and your imagination, as well as logic and psychology, to create an awesome name for your GKC maps! Try to challenge yourself or use outside sources before making a forums topic for it. And remember that you don’t need other people’s opinions and only your own. Always make sure to have a good thumbnails and a detailed description too!
