I’m trying to re-create the google offline dinosaur platforming game, but to do that, I would need to create some sort of device the makes it so the player is always moving forward, kind of like on a treadmill. Is there any way to make this?
I don’t think that is possible yet.
Teleporters(very inefficient tho)
I’m trying to find a way other than teleporters, because of how finiky (help, my spelling) they are when you try to manage them for perpetual movement. Thanks for the idea, however : )
u set the player’s movement speed to the slowest possible (besides like not moving )
and you when they run it looks like they are running in place and underneath them your treadmill’s like carpet thing (idk what it’s called ) will move around.
@RektRainbow how would this work with the cactus and pteradactyls coming at the gim?
Is there any way to lock the camera in place? That could simulate a moving stage.
i.e - locked camera → looks like no moving character → everything else moves
that’s a good question
i dont know.
this is to complicted for me.
sorry.
eiurcwmuneiaughlehgbdj YOU MIGHT BE A GENIUS
I’ll mark this as a solution for now and go experiment with camera points for a bit
THANK YOU
Thanks! I don’t know if camera points necessarily work like this (I don’t experiment with them at all), but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
