I’m making a Knockback 2.0, and I’m not sure how to get it so that people can’t attack you when your answering questions.
By the way, its Knockback 2.0 cuz you can you any gadget except for the pickaxe. So please don’t disable my account or something for plagiarizing.

The only way you can make someone [title card] is by respawning them.
You might need to place a lot of checkpoints, but then again that’s a bad idea.
Do this:
Enter the questioneer device, and go to channels.
On the ‘When question screen opened’ and do channel ‘Turn On’
Go to the ‘When question screen closed’ and have it transmit on channel ‘Turn Off’.
Now, grab a repeater. In the repeater, set the time to 0.5 seconds and have it stop repeating on channel ‘Turn Off’ and start on channel ‘Turn On’. Also, in the ‘when task occurs, transmit on: do channel ‘Grant’. Now, get a health granter. Have it grant 3000 (Or some big number). Have it so that it grants first health, then shield. Have it grant on channel grant. Now you are done!

You have to set up Invulnerability:
Property Device: Create a property device (named “Invulnerability”) and set it to “Player Scope” and “True/False”
Tag Zone: gotta use a tag zone to trigger the invulnerability when a player enters the zone while answering questions.
Trigger: Wire the tag zone to a trigger device.
Blocks: Create blocks within the trigger that set the “Invulnerability” property to “True” when triggered and back to “False” when the question-answering period ends.
yo If you’re wanting to do it like Knockback then there’s no way yet, but you can teleport the players somewhere else or give them health constantly while they are answering question.
I don’t think this is really what they wanted. They are using gadgets.
Can’t they just abuse that for infinite health?
The OG knockback lets you become invulnerable while still having the same HP/Fragility.

There is no way for people to become invulnerable while answering question yet there is always hope that Josh will add it to gimkit creative eventually. Though there are some alternatives. If you teleport them to a completely different area with a zone with no gadget firing one, and then teleport them back when they close the questioner, that would technically get the same results.

i would have a suggestion, whenever the question is opened, it detects the player coords, and then place barrier according to it
make a zone and make it so they can’t fire you inside while you are answering questions
couldn’t you connect a questioner to deactivate the tag zone (make sure the tag zone has player scope) and connect the questioner to a trigger (say, 10 seconds?) to activate the zone again (this is to prevent people abusing it)
You could turn off auto KO (forgot what the setting is called) in the settings of the tag zone, then place down a checker wired to a respawn. If the check fails, respawn the player. The check should check for an item (the type doesn’t matter.) Then, place down your questioner. Place down two item granters. One should grant the item that the checker checks for, and should grant it upon opening the questioning screen. The other item granter should take the item away upon closing the questioning screen. Next, have a game overlay be wired to the questioner, so when the game overlay is pressed, the questioner is opened. For the last step, place down a repeater or one of its alternatives next to one of the game overlay. Have it start repeating when the game overlay is pressed, and stop it when the questioner is closed. Set the repeat interval to one second. Wire the repeater to a counter, so every time the repeater runs a tick, the counter counts down by one. Set the counter’s base amount to the amount of seconds you want people to be able to answer questions for. Have it’s target be 0, and wire it to a respawn so it respawns the player when the counter reaches 0. Also have it close the questioner screen when it hits 0. The questioner, when closed, also needs to reset the counter’s value. That should be everything, but if I missed anything, let me know!
What if there is like a circle barrier that is invisible (also follows the player) when anyone is not answering questions but my idea that circle barrier could appear when it gets like a signal that someone is answering questions

If you are using fragility(which I assume), you can’t really make it invulnerable
A few approaches:
- Use something to prevent projectile from hitting(e.g. a barrier)
- Make others unable to fire
- Heal you every time something is fired
4.tp you somewhere else when you answer, put you back when you stop
I would recommend 4, but it’s your choice

you can teleport the player somewhere then hen they are done answering questions then teleport them back

Yes that would be really the only way to get remotely close to becoming invulnerable while answering questions
