How To Make An Arcade Game In Gimkit

step 1: have an arcade game that is on (optional but would recommend for looks)
step 2: make the game (example: fighting a sentry, obby, dropper or whatever you want)
step 3: have a button that has its visible in game option set to no
step 4: place a teleporter at the start of the game (this teleporter will have no group) then wire it to the button and make it button pressed–> teleport here
step 5:place a teleporter at the end of the game that will teleport the player to a teleporter next to the arcade game indicated they are no longer in the arcade game (for games such as defeat a boss have the teleporter next to the arcade game then wire it to the sentry and make it sentry knocked out–> teleport player to here you can also have the teleporter blocked off by a barrier then wire the sentry and the barrier the teleporter at the end in the first situation is the teleporter next to the arcade game)
step 6: make the teleporter that is next to the arcade game have its visible in game set to no then make it the same group as the teleporter at the end of the game (there will be no target group for the teleporter next to the arcade game to prevent it from teleporting people or the end)
step 7: now your done  I am also aware that there are other methods but this is how I did it but I hope this helps!

This guide would be much better if you showed images on how to do these steps. Also, using drop-downs and headers helps as well. Also, the grammar is a bit of a mess right now. Just keep in mind next time you make a guide.

  3. Dropdowns. Organization. Please. [1]

sorry I’ll do it next time @WSG

You can edit it right now as long as it doesn’t take more than a few days.

ik but my wires and stuff are all over the place

You might want to try using channels instead of wires for organization purposes (AKA not having a bunch of tech all over the place)

its cuz I never use the channels

Use channels it’s a lot easier to decode and debug.

Just remember for future reference that you need to polish your guides before posting. Also, channels are easier and less memory consuming when you learn how to use them. They are invisible as well, so no full screen being covered.

Changed the title from “How to make a arcade game” to “How to make an arcade game” because the grammar was bugging me.

You might want to add images like everyone said but if you can’t do that than just add an image/gif of the final result. By doing this the reader can understand what they are building without having to read the whole thing.

Edit: I just realized from Wing waves’s post that this guide is just a glorified version on how to use a teleporter.

You could add a way so players can leave the arcade game if the want to stop playing, without them finishing the entire game.

I think they get the point.

This post really doesn’t have anyting to do with making the arcade game. All it does is do a little teleporting.

Especially this part:

Very helpful for making arcade games. Mhm.

PhoenixWander rating time.

Formatting
0/10, no pictures, no dropdowns.

Usefulness
0/10, literally a guide on how to use a teleporter

Humor
0/10, this is dryer than sand.

Difficulty
1/10, 0/10 is art guides only, and as I said before, this is just a glorified teleporter.
