How to make a private room (🟦/6)

So I was asked a question on how do you make a private room, this guide can work for hotels, apartments, and rooms that you want only one person can enter, and this is my second guide so please tell me what I can improve on (the last one didn’t go well) and please bear with my grammar.

Things we need

Button (4 for each room)
Granter (1 for each room)
vending machine (1 for each room)
And of course your room

Step 1: the set up

Depending on how much rooms you have
get your 2 buttons and put one on the door step and the others just to the side of it
the last 2 buttons will be inside the room
1 granter each doorstep
1 vending machine each door step (put this aside for now)
This is what it should similarly look like

(the bookshelves in my image will represent our rooms)

Step 2:

So our first step in making our project is to go to the buttons that are on our door step NOT the ones we put aside go and make sure their player scoped like so:

repeat with the other buttons except for the ones we put aside.
Now lets go to our granter and choose an item to grant, do this to all the other granters as well but make sure they are different (I recommend keys or keycards) Now we go to our vending machine and place 1 for each room then we set it to “transmit on channel” and the required item is the item that the granter is granting like so:

go to all options and scroll to the visibility and make it so it’s not visible it should look similar to this

Step 3: wires

Okay with our devices set up lets get to wiring.
Our first task is to pick a button on our door step NOT the one we set aside. Wire this button with another button except for the one we set aside (in fact we will not do anything with the “aside” buttons till the last steps) put the wire to “when the button pressed” deactivate button" like so:

now go back to our first button we wired and wire it to another button and repeat the steps we did until we have all the buttons wired to that 1 button like so:

. Now pick another button and repeat the same steps with all the other buttons as well. after this is done it should look similar to this

Okay with our buttons wired together our next step is to wire our buttons to the granter next to it doing “when button pressed” “grant item” repeat with all the buttons and granter.

Step 4: the other buttons

Remember those lonely buttons we put aside? well it’s finally time to put them into use, lets start by putting 2 inside the building and the other on the doorstep for each room. Now we will inform the 2 buttons inside the room for now so go to the button on the doorstep and wire it to the vending machine to be “When button pressed” to “attempt to purchase” and repeat with the other buttons like so:

now wire/channel the vending machine to the prop used as your door to be “when purchased” to “hide prop” Note: make sure whatever prop your using to have collision.

step 5: the last 2 buttons

Okay we have finished everything but the last 2 buttons, these buttons will be open and close if we are inside. Wire one of the buttons to the prop to “when button pressed” “hide prop” this will be our close button and the other button will wire to the same prop doing " when button pressed" “show prop”.

step 6 OPTIONAL

THIS IS OPTIONAL but I would recommend it. it is where we have 1 of the open and close buttons inside the house activates the other buttons next to it and deactivates itself. This will help it to become easier to open and close.

so following the steps we did our first step for this is to deactivate the “open button” when the game starts Now we will wire our prop to the “Close button” saying “when prop is made visible” “deactivate button” (our “close button” is our activated one.) it should look like this:

Now wire the “close button” to the “open button” (our open button is our deactivated one) wire it so it would be “when button pressed” “activate button” like so:

Now wire the prop to the “open button” to *“when prop is made hidden” “deactivate button” * like so:

now wire the “open button” to the “close button” to “when button pressed” "activate button
and there we have it it’s finished

CONCLUSION:
By step order we: wired our buttons so it would deactivate the other buttons except for the one we pressed but since we made each button player scoped it only works for us. this will prevent players from choosing another room after choosing a room before. When the player presses the button we obtain an item, this item is then used when we press another button which takes our item and “unlocks the door” by removing the prop which is our door. When we are inside we are given 2 buttons 1 to close the door by showing the prop and the other one which is the open button which removes the prop. Now if we did the optional step only 1 of the 2 buttons will be shown and if it is pressed it will deactivate and activate the other button to it.

I apologize for the last guide I will learn and improve from the past
I also apologize for any confusion from the lack of experience on making a guide
Please tell me if there is need for clarification or just things to improve on
Hopes this helps and have a blessed day :v:
