How to make a dropper that accumulates

:warning: WARNING: This only works in the Platformer Mode :warning:

Hello, and welcome to this guide, made by @Helloperson91412!

I was inspired to do this after playing @awesome_potato’s Potato Wars map, and realizing that I wanted to do a bedwars map, because they are super cool…

This guide was made to help people make an accumulative dropper, so that they can get resources without having to be there.

Step 1

First you want to make the actual dropper area.

I am using two spaces for two items at once, but you can use as many as you want, just build the same thing and connect them with a tunnel.

Step 2

Now you can add the props that are required for this build.

I used two Barrier (Horizontal) for this, set at transparency of 0.15.

Step 3

Now add the sentries. Make their gadget a pickaxe, so they can’t attack the Quantum Portal sentries.

The left side is for gold, and the Red Split drops one gold seed, and respawns after 5 seconds.
The right side is for silver, and that Red Split drops one silver seed, and respawns after 1 second.
The Sentry Robots have legendary quantum portals, with max aim, so they always hit the Red Split.

Step 4

Now you can add a zone and a wire node.

The zone is wired to the Barriers, and is set to: Player Enters Zone ---------------- Hide Prop
The zone is also wired to the wire node, and is set to repeat the pulse.
The node is wired to the props, and is set to: When Receiving Pulse ---------------- Show Prop

There you have it! A fully operational accumulative item dropper, at your fingertips.

If you want to see it in action, I can’t add a GIF because it is too big for this site.

I can’t change or get rid of the difficulty poll with a pie chart, but I will close it.

Just saying, if you make the barriers deactivate, the sentries will also drop with the items

No, they don’t because I tested it, and they somehow just freeze in place. It’s probably because they are in the wall partially.

There is an easier way to do this, I think there is a device that spawns in items after a player collects it

Yes, but the items don’t keep stacking up. They just stay at what they are programmed to be at.

Never thought of this idea before, pretty good!
Just a few questions

  1. Wouldn’t the sentry bots be eventually knocked out by the red splits with their default zappers?
  2. Wouldn’t it be better if something visible with no collision were to cover the sentries so the player can’t see them?
  3. The players can knock out the sentries, definitely affecting the drop speed

You can put red split on the same team as the players, and they said that red split would have a pickaxe so it can’t attack the other one, read the guide

The red splits should have pickaxes, and the red splits should be set to the team that they are dropping for. Also, in the settings, under Items, there is a setting that should be set to this:

It makes it so that only the team that the sentry is on can see the drops, and collect them. Otherwise, the enemy team would be able to farm the bots.
