Introduction
Hello! Ever wanted to make it so you could crawl (can a Gim even be considered able to crawl) under a prop in gimkit because you were making a section that required it? No? Well too bad, I’m going to tell you how anyway >:D
(first guide without using blocks that isn’t a mini guide :O ).
Chapter 1: Its not really a chapter more so a list now that I think about it ahhhhhhhhh-
This section is your standard (besides the section name being long for no reason) materials list.
The materials used will be
1 game overlay
1 checker
1 wire
1 counter
1 property
2 speed modifiers.
Chapter 2: The Super Coolness epic guide Nyehehehehehehe
Alrighty here we are, the guide :D
its quite simple here we go YIPPE! First set up a game overlay button labeled “Crouch” then place a checker, set it up so that when the check passed it brodcasts on “reset crouch” and when it fails it brodcasts on “set to crouching” set the check up like this!
Now wire the game overlay to the checker like this,
Game Overlay clicked — — — Run Check
once you have done that, place a counter and set it so it updates the property “Crouching?” then set up the channels like this!
next, make the property and have its scope be player and call it “Crouching?”.
Then you need to make 2 speed modifiers,
one that sets the speed to 0.50 when recieving on “set to crouching”
and another that sets the speed to 1 when recieving on “reset crouch”
What does this do?
What this does is makes it so that when pressing a button it brodcasts on a channel this channel can be used to deactivate props with collision and activate identical ones without collision, when pressed again it sets the speed back and brodcasts on a different channel so that the props with collision get reactivated and the ones without collision get deactivated. this makes the illusion that you are crawling under the same object.
Conclusion
in conclusion I hope y’all liked the guide as much as I did making it, feel free to have constructive criticism of this guide in the replies, and I’ll try to upgrade the guide accordingly.
Fun Fact :O
This system was made for a gimkit horror game I’m working on
you can find information on it easily, but I’m not gonna tell you where it is because scavenger hunt hehe
