Hello! I have revamped this entire guide and added more images, so I hope you like it!
If you want to add a maze to your map, I have something you can add! There are bosses, sentries, lasers, and more! I will show you how you can connect the sentries to turn on lasers, get sentries to spawn other sentries when a button is pressed, and more! You could say this guide is going to be pretty A-Mazing! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAGHA!!! (sorry but I am sure you knew that pun was coming lol) Anyway, let’s get into the guide!
Step 1: Building the Maze
Okay! On to the first point: Building the Maze. You can make a maze with all kinds of crossroads, twists, and turns your heart desires! (something like this)
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BIG AREA AT THE END OF YOUR MAZE! (That is where the exit/boss is going to go, but that will come in step 2.) Once that is done, put sentries with the Pumpgim Pie (or the corn) skin inside it with some lasers ahead of it and an invisible button right in front of them. MAKE SURE THEY CANNOT D1E! (give them like 1m health or something)
Have the lasers alternate from on to off every few seconds with the laser beam manager. If you want to do that, give the lasers a group name, place down a laser beam manager, and put the laser beam manager’s group to that same group. Then, choose how long you want the lasers to be activated/deactivated for!
When all that is done, you can deactivate all the sentries and lasers except for the first group. When the first sentry is “eaten”, the next one will spawn, along with the lasers activating. Make sure that when you “eat” the sentry, it deactivates that sentry.
Step 2: Building the Boss Fight
So, now that you have all your sentries placed, it is time to begin the boss section! Remember when I told you that you should build a big area? Well, this is where that area comes into play! When the last sentry is eaten, have that button activate the boss sentry. The boss sentry can be anything, but I would recommend you use the “Gobble” skin. When the sentry is knocked out, have it translate on the channel “win” or something.
(OPTIONAL!) When you have that done, you can add a laserbeam grid that looks something like this:
Have those lasers be activated for a few seconds, but deactivated for a little less or equal.
Look at that! You are almost done!
Section 3: The Exit
This will be the last section for this guide. You should build an exit out of a wooden sign and wooden poles and cones blocking the exit that should look something like this.
Next, have the cones deactivate on that “win” channel, or after the boss is defeated.
In that exit area, there will be a sign or something that has an invisible button in front of it that opens a popup. Whenever that popup is closed or they teleport back to where they started, it should give them a weap0n or an item.
Aaaand that’s it! You learned how to build a maze, make lasers turn on and off, and how you can make a laser grid! I know it was long, but you pushed through!
