So I do not care about the speed part of it but I would like to create something similar as in that there is a quick top path that, but you need some skill to stay in, a middle path that is like the average part of it and there is the slow bottom path that you what to get out of.
What. I swear I almost had a str0ke trying to read this. Could you please explain this in simpler terms?
So true…
Like Gimtendo said can you explain this a bit more if possible?
@VoidStar
So basically:
-
A hard but short section on the top.
-
An easy but long section on the bottom.
-
A difficulty in between and an average length in the middle.
First, start with the easy but long on the bottom. Have jumps that are way easier to make. Put large props and barriers to make it easy. Use the change size
button to change the sizes of props/barriers! For the middle section, place slightly smaller things to land on. In this section, if you fall, you are knocked out. Use zones to knock out players in the “bad areas”. Stop short of the end of the easy section to make it shorter, and the player can walk the rest without having to worry about getting knocked out. Create a short hard section, but have super duper po hard jumps. Have the hard section stop before the medium section stops. Use the following guide to help with jumps.
oh- almost forgot! Here are some search results for sonic.
This feels like it could be a completely separate guide on its own
- the middle layer: this would be where you start.
- the top layer: from the middle layer you can get to the top layer it would allow you to get to the end faster, but you have to be skilled enough to stay there otherwise you just fall to the middle
- the bottom layer: if you fall from the middle layer, you will get to the bottom layer. In this layer, you are mainly trying to get back to the middle layer. If you fall from the bottom layer, you would get knockout and have to start over from the beginning.
Does this help? I am also using sentries and catwalk terrain. This is for my 2nd area for my map, by the way. Even though I know what I want, I have no idea really where to start, which is why I am asking for help.
I could possibly help with this, but I have no idea what you mean by layers.
Perhaps routes would be a more apt name. It would be mode s that if you fall down you would go onto the lower route.
