So I’ve been working on a game called “Levels” and I’ve got something pondering in my head:
How should it work whenever multiple people have to clear the same level?
Does everyone have to get to the end?
Does only 1 person need to reach the flag?
And something else:
When someone gets knocked out in a multiplayer group, what should happen?
Does the whole level restart?
Does it wait somewhere until everyone gets knocked out so it is free to restart?
I don’t know, tell me which of these concepts sound of best out of all of them.
(Here’s a multiplayer adaptation)Once one player gets the flag, the level is considered “completed” for everyone. The level won’t restart once one player gets knocked out by something.
Yeah sure, make a podium, the top three win. If its two it is okay if no one is third. Make at most 3 people reach the flag and those are the winners. When someone gets knocked out they spectate or are just out until the next round. Someone has to win so if everyone gets knocked out, the person that went the farthest wins; then the next round.
Ah ha! I have an idea…
Only 1 person needs to reach the end, when they do, a countdown starts, the level will be completed automatically when it ends.
It can also be completed when every alive player reaches the end.
Everyone must be dead for it to restart.
