How does my game sound so far?

Hello everyone, It’s me, Patrixk_134!!

Just a quick thought I had, - How does my game sound? I want people’s input from the forums to make it more exciting. SO, with that in mind, let me give you a little summary:

=============================================================

You are Scientist-42, one of the last crew members of an Echo Research Ship going to Tennibris. While aboard the ship, a secret vortex agent uses some "unknown chemical, " making the plants go from leafy and green to deadly and toxic. The rest of your fellow scientists are waiting for you at the emergency escape pods, while during the “growth” (when the vortex agent made the plants evil and allat) you were hit on the head by a vine, a blacked out. You wake up later, realizing you were boarded into the room for safety by your fellow scientists.

ANYWHO,

My game is based on One way out and a few other obscure indie games. It is an adventure/puzzle game, with some fights along the way.

ok so what do I improve on now lol

Sounds great! I think this is a super original and fun game. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Give the scientist a name other than Scientist-42 or maybe explain the signifigance of that name
  • What do you have to do to win the game?
  • How does the player interact with the game- is it exciting, or does it involve battle?
  • Why was the player boarded into a room for safety if they needed to escape?

I love this idea so much! Maybe a plot twist, since this seems like an RPG style game. Also some cutscenes (with camera point) would look really cool, if that’s what you’re going for

It would be nice if you could add some quests and tasks the scientist could attempt!
Maybe some lore which I can help you with!

  • Scientist-42 has more lore behind it, you learn about it in-game.
  • You have to get to the escape pods and escape with your fellow scientists
  • It’s more of an adventure-type game with puzzles, and some battles/boss fights.
  • The scientists couldn’t take you to the escape pods because of how rapidly the plants were growing

Devvy and Richard had forged an unbreakable bond over the years, their friendship blossoming despite their affiliations with rival factions—Vortex and Echo. Richard, with his deep fascination for the botanical world, often lost himself in vibrant greenhouses and sprawling gardens, while Devvy immersed himself in the theories of scientism, reveling in the mysteries of the universe.

After dedicating four grueling years to perfecting his groundbreaking plant serum, Richard finally stood on the brink of a breakthrough. However, everything changed when a chemical accident altered his mental state, scrambling his thoughts and muddling his brilliant mind. Devvy, desperate to help his friend, conducted countless tests on Richard, analyzing every detail in search of a solution, but each attempt yielded nothing but frustration and despair.

As the tensions between Vortex and Echo escalated into the chaos of the Gim War, destruction reigned throughout their world. In the midst of the turmoil, Richard charged toward Devvy, his eyes ablaze with urgency. He revealed his bold idea: to unleash his plant serum, allowing the flora to evolve and defend themselves against the ravages of war. Yet Devvy, burdened by doubt and the realization that Richard had not tested the serum, dismissed the plan, fearing the risks far outweighed the potential benefits.

Frustration boiling over, Richard couldn’t bear to wait any longer. He rushed into his lab, leaving Devvy in a state of shock. The very walls of the laboratory trembled as Richard activated the serum, and to Devvy’s horror, thick, vine-like tentacles erupted violently from the ceiling, twisting and writhing like angry serpents unleashed upon the chaos of war.

As Devvy sprinted toward the escape pods in the ensuing pandemonium, he was suddenly struck down by one of the menacing tentacles. The world around him faded to black as he was knocked out cold, leaving his fate intertwined with the very forces Richard had unleashed.

YOU COOKED SO HARD ONG :100: :speaking_head: My original concept was that you are one echo scientist on a huge research spaceship, and a crazy secret-agent vortex snuck on, and grew all the office plants into monsters, but can I take some of my lore and your lore and combine it? I’ll give you a credit in the description!
