It seems like we want to create a system where knocking out a sentry contributes to a leaderboard. This is a relatively simple task as it requires interaction between a few devices. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Sentry: 1
- Knockout Manager: 1
- Counter: 1
- End of Game Widget: 1 for leaderboard
Place your Sentry in the desired location of your game map. Customize the Sentry’s properties as needed.
Place the Knockout Manager somewhere out of the game area. Set it up to track knockouts from the Sentry.
Next, place the Counter device and set it up to keep track of Sentry knockouts. Wire the Knockout Manager to the Counter device. Each time the Knockout Manager detects a knockout from the Sentry, it should increment the Counter.
Place an End of Game Widget device for the leaderboard. This device will display the current number of knockouts. Customize the widget’s properties as you prefer.
In the end, your wiring should look something like this:
Knockout Manager -> Counter
When a player knocks out the Sentry, the Knockout Manager picks up this event, sends it to the Counter which increments its value. The incrementation of the Counter triggers the Relay which, in turn, updates the End of Game Widget device showing the current knockout score.
