How do you make a room that someone can claim?

I would like to make a room that can be claimed by one person, and after that they cannot claim any other rooms. After you claim a room no one else can enter. Please help.

Like a hotel? well you can create a button that unlocks the door but in this case removes a prop for a door so if you go to the button you just pressed and wire/channel it to the other buttons to deactivate but make sure you make it player scope so it will only work for the player

Okay one question is this going to be a hotel/apartment because there could be an easier way to do this

It will work like a hotel but the rooms will be small separate buildings.

Like this:

I apologize for the wait and if there’s confusion. okay lets begin

so what we will need is:
buttons (use 2x the amount of rooms you have)
Granters (use the same amount of rooms you have)
Vending machine (same amount as your rooms)
and your rooms

First step:

So for my example set up I have book shelves these bookshelves will represent your rooms so it should look similar to this


Ignore the wires for now and just set the vending machine aside somewhere
Take 2 buttons and put in each room’s door now set one of these buttons from each door aside and on the grass
ok with this set up we will head into the buttons we will start on the button on the road (if we are looking at your map). When you are in the button go to the availability and go to the player scope which is located at the bottom. Change it from global to player scope. now repeat with the following buttons It should look like this

Ok with our buttons set up we are going to move to our granters so go on ahead and click on it. when we enter we are just going pick any item to Grant as long as they are different from each granter (I would recommend keys or keycards in different colors) now do the same with the other granter but make sure they are different.

Step 2 wiring:

Ok we are going to start the wiring now that we have our devices set up, Pick a button to wire first now wire it to any other button and it should be “when button pressed” “deactivate button”


now go to the first button that you picked and wire that to another button and then you repeat until all the buttons wire to that one button you picked like so

. Our next step is to pick another button beside the same one you first chose. Now you do the same steps as before making all the wires connect to the button you picked (sry if this sounds confusing) but in the end after you finished wiring the buttons it should look like this

Our next wiring step is to wire each button to the granter next to it doing “When button pressed” to “Grant item” do this with all the granters and the button next to it or for your case on the road.

third step, the second button:

So we have our road button and our grass button (if looking at your map) for each room, the button on the road gets an item then shuts the rests of the other buttons down so you can’t use it, with this item, we will make a way to open the door with the item you have. Now lets go to our vending machines we have put one in every door step of the room then click on it. our first option is “Grant item” well we don’t want that so change it to “transmit on channel” repeat with the following vending machines. Our next step is to select a vending machine from a room and look at the granters that’s next to it look at the item being granted make sure you know the the name of it then go back into the vending machine that’s closest to the granters and put the required item as the item that is granted in the granters. now repeat with the following vending machines. it should look like this


then go to all options in the vending machines and scroll till you see the option if you want visible or not select “no”.
Our next step is to wire our “grass button” to the vending machine then select “when button is pressed” “attempt to purchase” repeat with the rest of the vending machines

OUR FINAL STEP now our project is almost done
Next we wire the vending machine to the "door of the room which is any prop that you choose to be the door select when “when purchase” “hide prop”

CONCLUSION (this is optional)

So what we did (by step order)
First we wired our buttons so that if someone presses one of them the others deactivate but since we changed it to be player scoped it only works for the person who pressed the button not the other players. At the same time we pressed this button we were given a key to our room by using the granters. if we head over to the other button we can now “unlock” our door to enter our house without going into others. NOTE: there are probably many ways to get this task done this is one of the ways I thought of so you could ask for another way if you are not satisfied.
