It is directly linked to the lifecycle how can I be at fault
Hmmm… in that case, we have to start troubleshooting your system.
- Try temporarily disconnecting the lifecycle from the notification device.
- Add a counter that increments whenever the notification is triggered. Basically, connect everything that would run the block code to the counter.
- Set a text device to set itself to whatever is in the
dedproperty whenever that property updates.
Try these things and see what happens.
Have you tried the property device and the checker device? I mentioned?
@TreesAreYummy No, it’s supposed to be number. I tried that and it worked.
Please simplify for my tiny mind
The property is text not a number
- Un-wire the lifecycle from the notification
- Counter that goes up when notif happens
- Text that becomes what the ded property is when it updates (with a “set text to” block)
Will the number change to text, then?
Do each thing I listed, test the system, then undo the thing. Mark down what happened and what the text device/counter displayed.
That keeps happening to me too… it never fixed for me.
Seems I need more proof that this doesn’t work.
I am making the Hunger Games.
This is the notification that is supposed to act like the faces and names in the sky.
The notification that sends when a player d!es, which has NO block code and is just connected to the lifecycle through a channel, also sends the notification 3 times.
Where is the block code you showed earlier then?
In the notification.
If you have the notification run both when recieving on a channel and through a wire at the same time, it would sent the notification twice, the knocked out player’s name listed twice on both of them.
I don’t know where that third instance could be coming from though.
Are you making sure there’s only one input/output?
But it’s not.
The notification that sends when a player d!es has NO block code, but sends the notification 3 times
The notification with block code only sends once, but the name appears 3 times in the notification.
I’m gonna make this known in the bugs category and hope that Gimkit will fix this.
YES.
Would it possible for me to gaze my eyes upon your beautiful block code?
