How do i knock out a sentry?

I’m trying to make it where the sentry just gets knocked out after a second. I’ve got everything in except for the part that actually knocks it out. so far, it’s a simple machine with a trigger that goes into a repeater, but i cannot get the knockout manager to work.

There is nothing that can actually fire a gadget that knocks out a sentry, but you can deactivate it using triggers and wires. Welcome to the community, by the way!

You can also make the player have a blaster and when they see the sentry they can knock it out (to make it easer give the sentry only 10% health).

@Brynn what you said is Not true , if I understood your post correctly.
You could do a sentry on the opposite team for example if the sentry you want to be knocked out is on team 1 you could use another sentry but the sentry is on team 2. You should probably make the sentry you want to be knocked out have really bad stats so it is almost guaranteed that the Sentry on team 1 gets knocked out by the sentry on team 2. Rather than the sentry on team1 knocking out the sentry on team 2.

Thanks a lot for the explanation, Demo! You could not make it so you knocked out a sentry every second, but you could get sentries to knock out each other. To add on, you might want to edit respawn times on one of the sentries, and change the gadgets, too. Slingshots sh00t around 1 projectile per second. Needless to say, you will not get knockout credit for the sentries.

it would probably use somekind of block code i can try to do it but im not the best block coder

so i would recomend asking somehelp from someone more experienced and better than me but if you want me to try i can

you could make another sentry with max aim and fire rate with a quantum portal, make sure the sentry starts deactivated, and when its time, you code wire it so that it activates the sentry, which will lead to it instantly one shotting the other sentry that you want to eliminate, and then wire it so that the sentry u wired previously is deactivated afterward.

Thanks! I’ll try that.
