How do I change the background in a platformer from sky to just black

Is there like a prop that does that or something.

That’s gimpossible, I just use barriers for curtain places, even though it takes a ton of memory

you could use black tinted barriers

I know I did that but it is not very efficient because everything is unclear, and when I look at other people’s maps I can see that everything is clear and the background is dark.

Is the barrier layered behind everything else?

What about a whiteboard?
It uses less memory than a barrier.

Set the barrier to these settings–

–and cover a large portion of the sky with that barrier (Barrier size depends on overall map size). Make sure the barrier is in the BOTTOM layer for everything to be clear.

And there ya go! A pure black sky.

If I did anything else wrong, let me know, 'cuz I read the topic and posts thoroughly.

[ADJUSTED! It should work now.]

BArriers colored black with anythind else lol

barriers colored black is rlly the only way we can do this currently since we cant do what they do in knockback. (knockback has a weird background right???)

I know lol

OP seems to maybe be offline so i’ll just leave this here for now

topic seems to be solved.

You missed a step. Turn off collision. If you don’t, visible buttons (not game overlay) and possibly sentries won’t work.

well that didn’t work cuz’ I’m tryin’ to make a shootin’ game.

Try again with collision off on the barrier.
