So. Here’s the deal. I’m creating a game inspired by Dig It Up, and when I always got stuck in the caves I mined, that inspired me to make this. You have to escape from an earthquake when everything caved in. But, we have 2 problems. First, if there are obstacles, we have to make a way for the player to go through it instead of mine around it. Secondly, the terrain limit is tiny. That is pretty self-explanatory. There’s nowhere to put ores, so they’ll be almost right next to each other. Any ideas on how to execute this?
What are you asking for, I can’t figure it out.
Ideas on how to execute this.
They’re asking us to help them with this. Mainly to get around these problems:
have an open area where the obstacles are and surround the area with barriers so the player can’t mine around it
True. I could make the barriers invisible so it wouldn’t look messy. But the terrain is still a problem
I don’t think that there is a way to make the limit larger, but you could camera view the area and make a border (the same way as the obstacles) so the player can’t mine at a certain point.
this idea can work, but you might need to make the map slightly smaller. it’s not the best solution.
Then I better mark a solution, then?
no, I didn’t mean it like that
I meant that its not the best way to solve your terrain problem
I bumpEd my head on stone while mining
For the obstacle one, try using unbreakable blocks they can’t mine
bump bumpity bump buuuuuuuummpppp
