Help with my first-person game

The scuba is a good idea! We could have the player either find special gimberries growing off seaweed in certain areas to replenish oxygen, and have the berries get dropped by seaweed monsters. Then we could use devices to remove a gimberry every, say, 30 seconds, or else the player starts to take 5 damage every 2 seconds.

The seaweed enemy’s remind me of this enemy from super Mario Odyssey.

Well, they would just be evil plant gims, just called seaweed/coral gims.

Well, im porbably gonna make custom monsters, sense the player, cant actually be seen when you play

Violent? Only a couple of NPC friends oof at the start, no other deaths aside from opposing zombies and plants. Trust me, far worse than this has been used and accepted for lore posts.

Anyhow, to get back on topic, another side quest could be once you trade for the key to the hidden chamber, you have a mini boss fight against the Elder Witch.

Is this going to be a timed game?

her motivation could be she never intended to provide the key, and was just using you to supply her with gold. She then drops the key when defeated.

I figured we could time the start sequence as you try to prevent the sub from crashing, but the whole game could probably be timed in line with the properties mentioned for the seaweed gimberries.

Maybe like a jade green for normal, and a slight pinkish hue if you do the Source Of C0rruption evil plant side quest.

@Jhan Should the plant miniboss just be a sentry, or should we add some barrier/prop designs to enhance the feel of a proper miniboss?
