Help with boss battle game

Put your ideas for fun and hard bosses you could put your own ideas or just talk about a boss that you enjoyed.

Fun and hard bosses… my mind is currently blank.
I guess fun types of bosses would be like ones that are truly challenging (not impossible) and unpredictable. Bosses that have various move sets and bosses that keep you on your toes during the fight.

Ok, I can help you.
So, for a special attack from the boss, you can use laser beams and put them in 2 groups(for the laser beam manager), group A or B(or whatever letter you choose). Make Group A be activated at the start of the game, but not Group B. For the laser beam managers, put the same time on how long the beams will be active or not active for whatever type you want.
For the boss, you can decorate it with props(I’m too lazy to explain it, so you can look at a different post for that) if you want to(optional)
You can make it bigger or smaller(I recommend bigger), and give it a strong gadget. For a more difficult boss, duplicate the boss (and change the gadget if you’d like) and stack it in the sentry, so it shoots out more projectiles at the player.

I also recommend finding other games with bosses and take inspiration from them, but give them credit for the inspiration tho.

I told someone else this, but I would have done geckosaurus as a dragon, and it has multiple stages starting with:

  1. Evil Eye
  2. 1 quantum portal
  3. 7 Quantum portals

Bosses. There are so many of these. Including, hard-impossible
one-shot-risky.
I prefer maybe hard difficulty and good aim. I do like being able to sprint during these, instead of playing the maps with those bosses. 100 health. Evil Eye one-shot.

Maybe give it a custom name? Like El Supremo?

Have it to so you have to defeat waves of minions with special effects and once you defeat all of them, the big boss spawns. Maybe (no collision, below layer) barriers appear to warn you something (e.g., a meteorite) is going to fall there, so you move away from the spot. There is also a stage of immunity the boss activates every once in a while where you can’t hit him during that time, but it goes away.

That could be a good idea for a dungeon styled game, ngl

first off, welcome back. second off, here are some ideas:


-a basic enemy with one health, when you defeat it, it summons two more, and when you defeat them, they spawn four, each sentry level gaining more health as you go

-a boss tower, where every time you defeat a miniboss it opens a new room, and when you reach the last, it’s a large, powerful sentry

-place like, eight sentries on top of each other to make a super rapid-fire boss

-a boss that spawns lasers around the map, each one does a little damage but they’re hard to dodge from. when defeated, it spawns one big final laser that can insta-respawn

-an impossible boss with max health. there’s a secret door you can escape the boss from inside, which makes the ending much easier. actually defeating it will do nothing. they either have to find the room or not. if you’re nice, give them a hint or two.
