Help with a randomizer

hello. yes I know there is a guide on this, but its a item randomizer. so I’m trying to make it so when clicking a game overlay button there is a 50% chance to catch a fish. the game overlay can only be clicked 2 times. without blocks preferably, but i think I can do blocks if they are simple.

I’m pretty sure this would require blocks. Just set a variable to a random number between 1 and 2 and if it is 1, grant the item. When the overlay is clicked, increase a counter and hide the overlay when the counter reaches 2. I cannot log into gimkit to provide screenshots right now.

I don’t, I just never have screenshots.

So there is 50% to catch a fish, and 50% for something else?

You could do this.

For the overlay to be only clicked twice, you could use a counter -
Button pressed — Increment counter
And set the counter’s target to two.

Gosh, @SleepDeprived775 how do you type so fast. :sob:

sort of, if you fail, you catch nothing. would I just change the blocks to randomizing function =2 or 3 then do nothing?

offline bc of iready sorry o:\

Sorry, I’m also a little late to respond but here:

So, you are going to copy this in a trigger, and when Overlay is clicked transmit on that Trigger.

In an item granter, grant item (the fish you want) on channel “Fish” (or whatever you call it).

For the channel “nothing”, don’t do anything.

For anyone smarter than me, please correct me if I’m wrong
