Help making a dash button

I need help making a dash button for my game  So I want to have a button where you click it and then it gives you a speed boost for 10 seconds, and then you have to wait 30 seconds before you can do it again. I looked around at other discussions of similar topic, but they all talked about having a resource that gets taken away for the speed. Is this necessary? I am hoping to not have to do that. Anyway, that’s my Q. Lmk if u have a solution.

Hi i exist, you will need a game overlay to start, then make it activate a speed boost that speeds you up however much you want. Then get the trigger device and set it to a 10 second delay, make it start when you press the game overlay and when its been 10 seconds make it activate a second speed modifier that sets you to normal speed. Then make the game overlay deactivate when you press it and get a second trigger device, make the delay of the device 30 and make it start when your speed is set back to normal, then connect it to the game overlay to make it appear again after 30 seconds.

Sorry if I didn’t explain enough, Im just excited I just got tl2 :3

thx I kinda got parts of it but um still a bit confused as to what to link to where…

What do you mean by that? What do you not understand I can elaborate

overlay pressed → transmit on channel “dash”

overlay → hide when receiving on channel “dash”

speed modifyer with speed of 2x → set speed when receiving on channel “dash”

trigger with hidden ingame and delay of 10 seconds → trigger when receiving on channel “dash”

same trigger → when triggered transmit on “dash.end”

a new speed modifyer with 1x speed → set speed when receiving on channel “dash.end”

new trigger with hidden in game and delay of 30 seconds → trigger when receiving on “dash.end”

same trigger → transmit on channel “dash.available”

overlay → show when receiving on channel “dash.available”
