You need to use multiple zones and barriers. Use triggers with delays that trigger other triggers, each trigger would activate each level of lava.
Basically an animation.
Yup, no cheap shortcuts for this.
I wouldn’t spend 30 mins of my life doing that. I would get easily bored.
