Sorry, Immersion Award. It is the map that makes the majority of users want to continue playing it. For example, they might loose track of time, play repeatedly, etc. There are several good games that are not as immersive as others.

Nominations will be in April, as will final vote, and the video announcing the winners. The only one I can see changing is that the video might take a little longer then expected.
Okay, going to make an edit to the post about this after this, but no, I’m not doing a thumbnail category. It’s literally the exact same as fanartist. There isn’t a reason for this to exist.

Kinda too narrow of a category, unfortunately. I know for a fact there are a few games like this out there, but there’s just so few that I don’t see a reason for this becoming a category.

Probably not. I was going to bring it up to the team, but probably not.
We don’t want to do categories based entirely around the forums, because it’d just cause more fighting then it’s worth.
I was thinking about something like this, though what’s more likely is a more minor topic being posted in January asking the community by far and by large if they want one singular category where platformer games can be nominated, or something similar. Probably in the form of a poll here on both the forums and the discord, so we can get detailed reasoning for both sides, get some good pro/con action going.
Nope. If you won last year, you can’t win this year. We gotta make sure that the awards don’t end up unfair or rigged, and letting previous winners win again would be just that, it’d be kinda
rigged.

Whatever, let me give you all a concrete answer.
Best solo game is too narrow of a category. Yes, there are some, no, there are not enough.
Best multiplayer game is going to be reworked into best competitive game. I can basically guarantee that will happen. Best competitive will be any game that you have two or more teams who go up against each other. This should, in theory, include any “best team/pvp gamemode” suggestions we get.
Best co-op is also too narrow. I know a lot more of those exist, but I also genuinely don’t know how to word that into a way where no one would get confused about what the category is for.
At that, best co-op could mean a whole lot of things, and if you need to go into a long explanation about what your category means, then you need to re-word it.
Categories should be things you can understand at first glace, not something you need to really sit there and think about.

Yeah. I don’t have a final list yet. I couldn’t tell you exactly what we would and wouldn’t have, hence why we need time to make that list.
Please ping me if I didn’t get to your post, though keep in mind I’m also a human being who wants to spend his thanksgiving break with his family and his friends, playing video games and kinda just doing as little as possible.

Funny that most of these are on community picks, and some that you mentioned, specifically, Ascent of Mt snowy and sharks and minnows have already won.
Users or maps that already won awards last year can’t earn awards this year.
Also just because it’s on community picks, doesn’t mean it’ll win award. I can name plenty of maps that have a pretty good shot of making a category that aren’t on trending or community picks.
Everyone has a chance, and everyone should have a chance, even if the map is silly.
