Gim Duplication

Screenshot 2024-12-15 at 3.45.24 PM
Anyway, the candle gim is me. I joined this game as the elf on a separate tab. When I hit “restore map,” I went back to the second tab. On my secondary tab, instead of appearing as the elf, I was the candle, with the same editing options and username as I had before. Essentially a copy of the gim on my main tab, including my collision settings, except that I can’t control it.

But the elf gim is still visible on the host tab, and when I move, the elf gim moves,* but the duplicate is still there.
Why is this?

btw, sorry this is so long

*I hear a jumping sound when I press up arrow on the 2nd tab.

Try saving the current progress, exiting out of the tab, then making a new game. If that doesn’t solve it, email hello@gimkit.com.

Does anybody know what’s happening here?

Probably report it idk how to.

sorry I just realized that> Bardy_2913 already said that

First, reload, refresh, all that good stuff.
then, if you can recreate this bug, please give me the instructions.
I can better understand it if I can have this bug on my computer.

This has happened a lot, so basically you are SPECTATING the other player but the UI is acting like you are your regular character.

I am not sure if that is the problem, as the I didn’t really understand the problem the op is posting about.
I can’t figure out, : What gim are you locked onto on the 1st/2nd screen, and which gim moves on the 1st/2nd screen.

So if you change to another tab, Gimkit can’t keep up so you end up spectating a random player.

Maybe your just going insane and are forgetting what order the tabs are in?..

It’s probably because you changed your selected gim to wick…

nope. I checked the tab

I thought so. I was testing a team switch feature with spectating right before it happened.

I was wick first
also you can’t change your Gim through the Creative editor
