First person Fishing Game: IDEAS, MECHANISMS, AND THEORIES

So, I had an idea.

WOW you had an idea. that’s never happened before.

sigh What if I made a first person fishing game? The mechanisms would be simple enough, as long as the player(s) don’t have to move.

I need to make:

Casting mechanism
FISH barrier art
Reeling mechansim
Shop
lure switching
Prob other stuff

(help making these plz plz)

you don’t need to make fish barrier art, just use the item image

shop could be a game overlay that leads to a popup chain

I like the shop idea, but I wanted to add real fish, such as clownfish or eels

In that case, barrier art would be the best… I sadly CANNOT draw but I can try to make a (somewhat) decent example…

Casting and reeling mechanisms are easy–
actually most first person mechanisms are pretty easy if you simplify it for gimkit
you just gotta

  • cover the player somehow
  • make the player unable to move
  • make barrier art in a 1st-person perspective
  • have the player spawn where the barrier art is the game’s screen

easy for the most part lol
anyways
for the reeling and casting
have a button next to the hidden player (or a game overlay), when pressed does a lil casting animation w/ the fishing rod barrier art, runs RNG for what fish ya get, reeling in could be a “spam button” mechanism, and you get you a fish
