Duplicate Topic - Thumbnail Request

I get that it’s annoying having to wait for a topic to open back up, but creating another topic just makes a bunch of clutter. Plus, if it’s a repost, it’s likely that this’ll get flagged and closed too.

In addition to all that, if you know that it’s wrong to repost a topic, chances are you probably shouldn’t do it.

Just so you know, getting closed due to flags doesn’t necessarily mean there’s something wrong with the post itself. It means the replies and/or the post have gotten flagged so many times, the topic automatically closes down so people on the thread can cool off.

Oh, and kh44359 probably won’t be able to do this. They’re leaving because of underage drama.

Posts get closed due to flags. It takes multiple flags to hide a post, so there can be one or two flags on an unhidden post that allows the topic to close.

Also, try not to ping people if you’re just mentioning them. Just say their usernames without the @ symbol.

Honestly, just wait out the topic. Ping Gubby inside that topic to ask their thumbnail status.

Could be system lag. I once got spam flagged on one of my posts, opened it back up, and it immediately got flagged again within .5 seconds ;-;

Try messaging a mod (aka Jeggo) to ask them to manually open it back up.

Sorry, bruv. Waiting it out looks like the only option right now, and like TheC00l3stG1m said, there’s really nothing anyone can do. PLEASE don’t make any more reposts.

@bakedpotato but every time I try to wait it out, it just restarts the timer, so basically that topic probably won’t open ever again, and I’ll never have a thumbnail.

I absolutely had to make this post. Gimkit won’t open the original topic, so I can’t do anything on it. There truly was nothing wrong with the post, and I’m frustrated that this topic isn’t being opened, even when I have waited AN ENTIRE DAY. And the topic close is only FOUR HOURS.

hello, please calm down, you cannot do much about this but wait im sorry.
as for why it says only 4 hours, its worded in a very frustrating way “this topic is closed for at least 4 hours due to a large number of flags”
the reason why your topic is closed for so long could be either:

  1. the posts are really, really offtopic/ break the guidelines way too much
  2. the users that flagged them are trustworthy. basically they know what they’re doing so the system thinks the punishment should be more severe.

TLDR: wait it out, sorry.

I understand, but every time it says “The topic is going to open in so-and-so minutes”, I wait out that period of time, and the topic is still closed. I only made and posted a few comments that were just asking how everyone’s thumbnail was turning out, and the aforementioned argument that two users had on my post. I need a thumbnail for my game, because I’m bad at art, and I’ll always be bad at art. But apparently, my topic deserves all those flags. And truthfully, I’m pretty sure half of those are flag spammers. I’m sorry that I’m ranting right now, but I’m beyond annoyed that a thumbnail request and the replies in it got flagged. My replies about how everyone’s thumbnails were turning out were not off-topic or inappropriate. I don’t get it.

Well, complaining about it is off-topic. I understand that you’re upset about all the flag spammers, but there is literally no point in posting complaints about it.

click ‘more’ on the sidebar, click ‘groups’ then click ‘moderators’ and then ‘message’, write about your problem, keep the title brief. ^^
